Getting to know people

Consider how the employee will get to know the key people they will need to work with. It might be useful to draw a network diagram showing their key stakeholders.

Think about the best way of introducing key stakeholders, taking into account where they work and how they will need to interact with your new team member. For individuals or teams who are important to the new starter’s success, it may be best to arrange a preliminary one-to-one meeting with them. For others, a team member could introduce them to the new starter the next time they need to interact with them.
