There are some standard tasks that will need to be undertaken as early as possible to ensure a new employee works safely and in accordance with legal requirements.
Be mindful, however, that these activities should be balanced with engagement activities too; asking a new starter to complete all their compliance training in one block of time can be boring and disengaging; you want them to be excited about their new role early on.
