Between the time a new recruit accepts a job offer and their start date, you should take steps to provide a warm welcome. This will help to settle any nerves; often if there is little or no contact between the offer and start date, the employee may begin to question their decision to accept the offer. You can also use this period to build on the employee’s excitement ahead of starting the role.
